Łódź Design Festival 2019 – Good Life
This time in spring, and not in autumn, we witnessed the thirteenth edition of the Łódź Design Festival – one of the best festivals in Poland devoted to the broadly defined design. Every year, the Festival attracts crowds of people from the industry as well as outside of it. This year’s edition was visited by over 35 thousand people!
The motto this year was Good Life. What does it stand for, what does it represent, what does it mean to live good in the times of radical environmental and cultural changes? What and how to design? These are some of the questions set forth in the course of this May’s design days. The organisers invited everyone to take a deep breath and think about what gives us the sense of happiness, calm, luxury or safety.
Łódź Design Festival 2019 means over 30 exhibitions, lectures, workshops and discussion panels with the best Polish and global specialists. In the course of the Festival, “make me!” contest prizes and “must have” awards were presented. It was whole lot of meetings, experiences and inspirations.
Łódź Design Festival also means guests. This year, among the guests was the Stockholm studio Form Us With Love, presenting the exhibition “At the intersection of culture and industry”. The studio presented seven designs, displaying the entire design development process, prototypes and everything standing behind the creation of their objects.
Another guest, the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon, presenting an exhibition entitled „Masquemask Installation” in the Central Museum of Textiles, won many hearts with his mask designs.
On top of all that, another highlight of the Łódź Design Festival was the MUST HAVE award, with two winning collections from NOTI: LOPP, designed by Bartłomiej Pawlak and Łukasz Stawarski, and GAP chairs designed by Towarzystwo Projektowe. Furniture from these two collections was displayed in a special MUST HAVE exhibition.
The awards were received by Dominik Czylkowski, NOTI’s Deputy CEO.
NOTI furniture was also present in other Festival spaces. The GAP sofas, accompanied by tables from the MUSE collection, were in the centre of attention, shining bright during the press conference and on stage, where festival lectures and award ceremonies were held.

See you for the next year’s Łódź Design Festival!
